Overview
Directed UX scenario planning and design for the Alexa × LG Smart Home Ecosystem, connecting voice and mobile experiences to enable seamless Amazon auto-reordering through both Alexa commands and the LG ThinQ app. The system linked appliances like the TV, refrigerator, oven, and washer to provide personalized content recommendations, health-based grocery suggestions with automatic cart placement, and guided cooking experiences synchronized with smart appliance settings.
It also supported hands-free supply replenishment, letting users restock consumables directly through voice or in-app automation. The project culminated in a public showcase at IFA, demonstrating LG’s vision for a wellness-centered smart home.
Challenge
Smart home devices were intelligent, but shopping and replenishment remained disconnected. Users couldn’t automatically reorder essentials through voice or app.
Objective
Unify Alexa voice commands, LG ThinQ app, and Amazon commerce to enable automatic, wellness-centered shopping across appliances.
Result
Launched the first voice and app-based Amazon auto-reordering UX, connecting devices and services into a seamless smart commerce ecosystem: showcased at IFA.
